The ultimate mountain riding satisfaction

rob alford
Snowmobiling is a very dynamic sport with many different styles of riding. Some like to ride single file down a groomed trail to the nearest cabin to trade stories and warm their digits. Others can only be found in the openness that riding above the tree-line brings, with flowing fields and wide open climbs to test man and machine. There is, however, a special place that brings out the best and worst in a rider.

Daniel Bodin crashes trying to set a new world record

daniel bodin
Pro rider Daniel Bodin have tried to set a new world record by doing the longest backflip on a snowmobile. He wanted to beat his own record 148 feet that he did during Winter X Games, but something went wrong this time and he crashed. Fortunately he didn't get hurt, and we will probably see more impressive record attempts further on.

The combination of skateboards and snowmobiles is rare so I decided to give him a call to figure out what he was about.

Ankan [Duck], that’s an ugly name.  Do you like it?
– Ha ha, thanks! Well, my real name is Anders, even though no one ever uses it any more. I was playing soccer as a kid and I guess I was running like a duck, since then I’ve been stuck with it.

You’ve got two careers, FSX and skateboarding. How do they coexsist?

Late night sledding

Thomas Wärdell

In the end of may when the riding season is over for many of us, you can still find some really great riding in northern Sweden. The soft and slushy snow almost remindes you of powder, except for a lot greater tracktion that makes it possible to beat the stepest mountain sides. And if you can save some gas and stay up in the
