The Lazareth Snowtrack Snowmobile with Tracks Concept is Ludovic Lazareth's way of redefining winter speed. By adding two driven tracks to the front of a snowmobile, replacing the traditional skis, the Lazareth Snowtrack will have additional traction under acceleration, which will increase cornering speeds, eliminate slides and make it possible to get on the power earlier. Ken Block has built the world’s fastest snow cat. It's a Subaru STI rally car lifted up onto Mattracks’ 105M1-A1 rubber track system. It started as a funny idea for accessing back country in Utah. Ken wanted to combine two of his favorite things in this world: driving rally cars and snowboarding powder.
Lamtrac/G-Force 1, the worlds fastest snowmobile set a speed record of 203.3 MPH at Bonneville

The Lamtrac/G-Force 1, world speed record holder on 1000cc engine, was invited to Bonneville Salt Flats International speedway in Sept 20-26. This was the first snowmobile to attempt the record at the world re-known race track in the salt desert of Utah.
International Snowmobile Hall of Fame moves to Eagle River
The International Snowmobile Hall of Fame (ISHOF) is now located in the World Snowmobile Headquarters (WSHQ) in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Elmer Cone and his family, who founded the program and kept it going for 20 years, have decided to “retire” from the administration of ISHOF and pass the duties over to the World Snowmobile Headquarters. All phases and administration of ISHOF will now be handled from the Eagle River facility including induction ceremonies.
